Bora Bora Activities Center · Main-island hotels
A six-hour day with the Bora Bora Activities Center: three hours off-road by ATV to a crater viewpoint, WWII guns and a vanilla plantation, then a jet ski to a barbecue lunch on a motu. Pick it if you want the land and the lagoon in one day.

The morning is on land. From 9:00 you ride an ATV off-road for about three hours with a guide: a viewpoint over the old volcano crater, two lookouts, the WWII guns and a Tahitian vanilla plantation, where you learn how vanilla is pollinated and harvested and get a tasting. Lemonade and water are on hand. The guns date from the war years, when Bora Bora was a US supply base from 1942 to 1946.
At noon you switch to the jet ski. The afternoon is an island tour with a stop on a motu, a stop on a natural sand bank (the listing calls it "good for the skin") and a stop in the lagoon. Lunch is a Polynesian barbecue on the motu: the listing names grilled chicken and fish, rice salad, raw fish in coconut milk, banana doughnuts, coconut bread and a banana dessert.
Three things to check. The price covers a group of up to two, which points to two people sharing an ATV and a jet ski. The listing asks you to bring a driver's licence, most likely for the ATV, and it does not give a minimum driver age or the jet ski time. Pickup is from hotels on the main island only: if you stay on a motu, you take your hotel's boat across first.
Pickup from your hotel on the main island, a helmet and a briefing. Cruise guests are met at the Vaitape port by a guide with a name board.
A guided ride over mixed tracks to the crater viewpoint, the WWII guns and two lookouts over the lagoon.
A guided visit of a Tahitian vanilla plantation: pollination, harvesting and a tasting.
Life jackets on, and a guided jet ski tour with stops at a motu, a natural sand bank and a lagoon spot.
A Polynesian barbecue on the motu, with grilled fish and chicken and raw fish in coconut milk.
Drop-off at your hotel on the main island.
